Electronics

Use sonar zoom to read the strike zone more clearly.

A zoom window helps you see small bottom-hugging fish, subtle jig movement, and reactions that are easy to miss on a full-depth screen.

What Zoom Helps You See

Zoom narrows the display to the most important depth range. For panfish, that may be the bottom five feet or the suspended band where crappies are moving.

Sensitivity And Clutter

Use enough sensitivity to see your smallest jig, then reduce clutter until fish marks remain readable. Too much gain can hide the bite.

Use Reactions As Feedback

If fish rise and stall, change cadence. If they fade, downsize. If they never appear, move holes instead of staring at a blank screen.
